Jane Hope Hamilton

Jane Hope Hamilton is a dynamic public policy, government, and political veteran.  As a dedicated civic leader,  Mrs. Hamilton has developed deep two-way relationships with government, corporate, community, and faith-based leaders on the local, state, and federal levels. 

 As Vice President of Strategic Affairs with Matthews Southwest, a full-service private real-estate development company, Mrs. Hamilton operates from the perspective of establishing thriving cities and, more importantly,  thriving communities.  With the critical demand for affordable housing options, Mrs. Hamilton brings a unique understanding of how business, government, and community leaders can work together to realize housing solutions that respect and build upon the desires of the communities served.  In Mrs. Hamilton’s leadership role with Inspire Dallas, the arm of Matthews Southwest that was awarded the city’s largest public works contract to date to develop the new Dallas Convention Center; Mrs. Hamilton understands the importance of the opportunity to not only deliver a world-class convention center but also help create an equitable process that includes the diverse and growing communities it will serve.  

Most notably, Mrs. Hamilton served as the presidential primary campaign Texas Statewide Director for Joseph R. Biden. Mrs. Hamilton’s strategic thinking skills enabled her to lead the Joe Biden Presidential Campaign in securing, then-candidate Biden, as the Democratic nominee for President in Texas. The win in Texas propelled Joe Biden to win the national Democratic nomination for President, ultimately positioning Mr. Biden to win the bid to serve as the 46thPresident of the United States.

 While Mrs. Hamilton has worked on a national level in politics and government, creating the bedrock for her extensive government knowledge and relationships, Mrs. Hamilton’s interest and career in politics and government began locally. She served as a legislative aide in the Texas State House of Representatives for Representative Helen Giddings, a Congressional Aide to Congressman Martin Frost, Campaign Manager for Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins, and Chief of Staff and Campaign Manager for Congressman Marc Veasey.

 Per Mrs. Hamilton’s departure from the public sector, Mrs. Hamilton served as a General Manager for Noodle, Inc., an ed-tech firm that serves institutions of higher education in the delivery of online degree programs. While in that role, Ms. Hamilton led her team in standing up the Southern Methodist University, Cox School of Business, successful online MBA program, along with additional programs. 

​​​​​Mrs. Hamilton is a Lake Forest College political science and communications graduate and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. Mrs. Hamilton is the proud mother of two, and enjoys family time, playing tennis, and volunteering across North Texas.
